A particular area of the room is dedicated as a graffiti board/learning wall where pupils can write and record their thoughts on the issues being discussed during or at the end of the lesson.

The graffiti board/learning wall could be used at the end of the topic/unit of work for summarising issues and drawing conclusions.
Variations: TRY USING WWW.PADLET.COM TO DO THIS ALL ONLINE? OR VIRTUALLY- especially if you do not have your own classroom.
